I have qualified JRF in education in December 2018, based on my experience I would like to give you some tips which may help you.

Before strategy let me tell you some important information about UGC-NET.

  1. The exam is conducted twice a year. That is, in June and December.

  2. It is the minimum eligibility for the post of Assistant Professor and Junior fellowship (JRF) award in Indian Universities and Colleges.

  3. The paper consists of two parts. In part 1:- General studies (Common for all ), Part2:- that's your subject.

  4. There is no negative marking.

  • Now, strategy for the exam, which I have followed.

  1. Firstly, understand the ugc net exam pattern. It means that what type of questions asked by NTA. And see the level of questions paper i.e, easy, moderate, or difficult level.

  2. Then divide your syllabus into three parts (Strong, moderate, and weak )according to your knowledge and mastery over the topic.

  3. Don't neglect the paper 1st. It is a very scoring paper. For the paper 1st the same process you must follow. Divide your ugc net syllabus into three parts based on your knowledge and mastery over the topic. Don't rush to complete the 100 %syllabus, If you complete the 70% syllabus then it's enough for you.

  4. Give regular basis mock tests, start with ugc net previous year's papersof both subjects. Then analysis your paper.

  5. Whenever you will analysis paper then make short or one-liner notes (very important).

  6. Complete your syllabus and revise properly.

  7. If you are preparing for UGC NET Exam you must download the UGC net answer key to varify your answer.

  • Some important tips during the examination hall.

  1. If you don't know the answer to any question or first question then don't be Panic just calm or cool and try to focus on the remaining questions. Please don't panic otherwise you will lose your dream.

  2. Time management is very important because in the last exam (December 2019) there were three paragraphs, one in paper 1st and two in paper 2nd.

  • Some important points.

  1. Give importance or time to both papers. If you study paper 2 (that's your subject)for 2 hours then at least give 1 hour or 3o minutes to paper 1st.

  2. If you did not score good marks in the mock test then don't take the stress because that's not your final paper besides this learn from your mistakes.

  3. Never self-doubt. You can do anything in this world ❤.

  4. Regular practice of Data interpretation and Reading comprehensive.

  5. If your mathematical reasoning is weak then focus on other topics or units, don't take tension.

  • The best way to not feel hopeless is to get up and do something “.

Thanks!!!
