JEE Exam is the toughest engineering entrance exam in India. It is conducted in two phases: JEE Mains and JEE Advanced.

JEE Exam is conducted for admission in engineering courses. Candidates who wish to pursue architectural courses at IITs, then they have to appear in JEE Advanced AAT Exam.

Opting wrong methods while preparing may dampen your performance. The precious time you have spent for your exam preparation and the hard-work you have done may be abolished by a single mistake.

So, below I have enlisted some common mistakes that you must avoid during JEE Advanced and JEE Mains Preparation:

Do not lose focus on conceptual understanding:
It has been observed that students prefer method-based approach rather than applying a conceptual understanding over the questions. So, it is always advised to apply concepts in each and every question that you solve.

Do not ignore the basics
Many students have a habit of preparing from big reference books and study materials rather than NCERT book. More than 70 per cent of the questions are either from NCERT or are an extended version of its learnings. So, you must primarily stick with NCERT course books and head towards reference books only upon its completion.

Be confident and donÂ’t doubt yourself:
This possibly is the biggest blunder that students make during the preparation. Giving room to doubts directly increases hesitation and leads to lack of confidence. Trust yourself and your abilities. Develop a positive mind-set.

Never skip the online tests

Taking online mock tests and solving previous year question papers is the smartest way to prepare for the exam as you get to know the exact format of the questions asked in the exam.

Best of Luck!
