IIT JAM and JEST are the two most popular entrance exams for admission to MSc/PhD courses in top institutes of India.

Below is the difference between IIT JAM and JEST Exam:

IIT JAM is Join Admission test for MSc. It is an entrance exam conducted for the candidates who want to pursue M.Sc (Four Semesters), Joint M.Sc.-Ph.D, M.Sc.-M.Tech., M.Sc.-Ph.D Dual Degree & other courses. IIT JAM exam is conducted every year in the month of February. In 2018, IIT JAM exam will be conducted on 11th February 2018.

JAM Exam is conducted in seven subjects:

Physics
Chemistry
Mathematics
Mathematical Statistics
Biological Science
Biotechnology
Geology

JEST is Joint Entrance Screening Test. It is a screening test conducted for the candidates who want to pursue MSc, Integrated PhD and PhD programmes in Physics, Theoretical Computer Science, Neuroscience and Computational Biology.

JEST Exam is conducted in three subjects:

Physics
Mathematics
Theoretical Computer Science

JEST has been declared as a National Eligibility Test by Science and Engineering Research Board. Aspirants are informed that securing a rank in JEST does not confirm admission in any college accepting the exam scores for admission. After qualifying JEST exam, candidates need to fulfill the eligibility criteria mentioned by the institutes.

I think IIT Delhi will conduct JAM Exam in 2019.

IIT JAM Exam is one of the toughest exams conducted in India. So, prepare yourself well for the exam.

IIT JAM 2019 Exam will be conducted in the month of February 2019. So, those who are planning to take JAM Exam have enough time for their preparation.

IIT JAM Exam is conducted in 7 subjects. But a candidate can take the exam for maximum of two subjects.

IIT JAM Exam is conducted in two sessions. So, if you want to give JAM Exam for two subjects, then you must make sure they will be conducted in different sessions.
